Property and Casualty Insurance Industry Standard Event to be Held in New Brunswick, NJ
All interested parties are invited to attend

Needham, MA- 08-15-2013- The Object Management Group (OMG®) is pleased to announce that it will be hosting the special event, "The Property & Casualty Information Model Seminar", at the consortium's quarterly technical meeting in New Brunswick, NJ. The event will take place at 9:00am on Thursday, September 26th at the Hyatt Regency hotel.

The seminar will introduce participants to the P&C Information Model initiative- a specification to address the data management needs of the Property and Casualty insurance community, primarily the core Party, Policy, and Claims Subject Areas.

Case studies as to how the standard is being used in the industry will be highlighted, including Farm Bureau Insurance of Michigan which used the model as their cornerstone strategy to address legacy limitation, unify data across the enterprise, and deliver new online services to customers.

"The OMG P&C Information Model has reached a significant milestone with the completion of the policy, claims, and domain/reference data models," said Tom Ford, Partner of LiquidHub. "The goal of the Information Day is to provide attendees with both the details of what has been produced as well as real-world examples of how it has been used by early adopters. It will be an informative session that will enable participants to start leveraging the group's efforts."

"The OMG P&C Working Group has done yeoman's work developing a business vocabulary and data models for domain/reference data, policy and claims data," added Bill Jenkins, Managing Partner of Agile Insurance Analytics. "The group has gained the momentum to develop the next iterations of the models including Distribution (agency and broker data), reinsurance and billing. Work Groups for the next iterations are being put into place and work has commenced. We welcome all to participate and use these developed models."

This seminar is geared towards IT Executives, Chief Data Officers, Data Architects, Enterprise Architects, and other insurance professionals interested in understanding how to leverage the P&C information Model within their own organizations.

Registration fees for the event begin at $199 USD. For more information and to register, visit https://www.omg.org/nj-13
